AutoCAD (2D & 3D)

AutoCAD is used to prepare precise 2D drawings and 3D models for buildings, sites and machine parts. The training moves from drawing setup and editing to layers, annotation and solid modelling.

Syllabus

• Set up units, templates and the drawing workspace
• Draw with lines, polylines, arcs, circles and polygons
• Edit with move, copy, offset, trim, fillet and array
• Control accuracy with object snaps, ortho and polar tracking
• Organise drawings with layers, blocks and external references
• Add dimensions, text, leaders and tables
• Set up layouts, viewports and scaled plots
• Build 3D solids with extrude, revolve, sweep and loft
• Combine solids and take sections and 2D views from the model
