STAAD.Pro is used to model a frame or building, apply loads and check the members. The training covers geometry, supports, static analysis and the concrete and steel design checks commonly taught with the software.
Syllabus
- Start a model and set units and coordinates
- Build geometry with beams, plates and the structure wizard
- Assign materials and section properties
- Add supports, member releases and offsets
- Define load cases and load combinations
- Run a static analysis and read displacements, forces and reactions
- Design concrete beams, columns and slabs
- Design steel members and review the design report
- Prepare a short report from a complete frame model
